The brown greatcoat belonged to Sgt. Bill Dalzell of the Cape Breton Highlanders. Note the three-up, three-down sleeve insignia of the sergeant. The device of the wall is an Airborne Radio Communication Receiver, used by the RCAF in World War II. It must have worked fairly well, because the officer who operated it brought it back from the war and used it to pick up radio in his home for some time thereafter.
