The North Shore League came into existence in the 1930's at the
Kensington rink, and was the first organized hockey league in
Kensington. The competition in the league was fierce, and in its
heyday, it included as many as 28 teams. This roster of the Kensington Silver Wings won the Baker championship trophy in 1937.
