The St. Mark's Church was one of the first churches displaying the unmistakable William Critchlow Harris design. Mr. Harris was a famed architect who designed many homes and public buildings on the Island during the nineteenth century. The St. Mark's Church was designed with a three stage tower and shallow arched windows and doorways. Mr. Harris added a wide array of vertical trim and details to offset the horizontal profile of the building.
