The device with the yellow panel is one of the first issue of radar
mechanisms issued to the RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) in World War
II. The trademark blue-background flag of the RCAF is hung in the background.
The uniform manning the terminal is a standard one for a Canadian Air
Force operating officer. The introduction of radar greatly helped to limit
the destruction that surprise air attacks could cause.
