The third Kensington railway station was designed by C.R. Chappell and was the most elaborate station on P.E.I. It was built by the M.F. Schurman Co. at a cost of $5,000. The new building was built with grey fieldstone from New Brunswick. The stones were embedded in the walls with cement. The building's frontage is 68 x 28 feet.
