Sea Brook Farms, an American food-processing subsidiary which started
up in Kensington in the 1960s. It was not profitable in its
early years, but has met with more success since being taken over by
Canadian interests. It employed close to 100 people and contracted crops
with over 20 farmers. Interestingly, the operation claims to be the first to have shipped
frozen foods to Japan.
