An arsenal of mines, shell-casings, and mortars from a variety of
different conflicts. The shelf holds such weapons as a British
anti-tank mine, heavy infantry mortars (which could be hurled up to
2800 yards), and an aerodynamic 'wind-tunnel' shell made in Val-Cartier,
P.Q. Among the displays on the floor are an armour-piercing SABOT from
World War II and a Russian mortar. Forming an interesting juxtaposition
to these weapons of mass destruction is the frame to the right, which
contains hand-sewn sympathy cards from England. They are
a subtle reminder of the misery and suffering this pile of metal could bring.
