The diesel locomotive 1762-- which found its final resting place in Kensington-- was built in early 1960 by Montreal Locomotive Works. It was part of the final orders by CN to completely dieselize their system. It was originally numbered 3859, but when CN decided to upgrade branchline power, it received some refitting and was renumbered 1762. It now stands next to the historic station as a constant reminder of our rich rail heritage.
