Sept. 76. Although the first Town Hall building was moved from its original location in 1950, meetings continued to take place in the building. In 1957, it was decided to move all Town Hall business to this former post office building, vacated when the new federal building was built. The town continued to conduct its business at this site until the new Kensington Community Centre was built in 1977, in the same location where the original Town Hall was situated.
