Local men standing in the middle of Broadway Street, sometime before
the fire of 1924. Visible down the left side of the street is the pole
for Champion's barber shop, the Eclipse Meat Market, and Semple's drug
and jewelry store. The first entire building showing on the right
is the Commercial hotel, where the great fire of 1924 began in a livery
stable. Next to
it is Reuben Tuplin's mercantile, which perished in the fire as well.
