After their marriage, Maud and Ewan moved to Leaksdale, Ontario, where Rev. Macdonald worked with St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. Maud is depicted here in the kitchen of the manse at Leaskdale in 1922. Maud had a very busy life as a reverend's wife, but she still managed to fit in a couple of hours of writing every day, in the early morning or late at night.
