The four wood carvings on the left before entering the museum depict various Acadian village scenes.
In front of the flags, which collectively represent the Acadian flag, is a plaque which reads:
“Familles-Souches Des Acadiens De L’Ile-du-Prince-Edouard. Periode D’Arrivée 1720–1850—Acadian Pioneer Families Of Prince Edward Island. Period Of Arrival 1720–1850.”
The list includes names from Arsenault and Aucoin to Theriault and Thibodeau.
