The young stars of Emily of New Moon. Emily of New Moon marks the first role in a television series for both Martha MacIsaac and Jessica Pellerin. MacIsaac began her acting career at age four when she appeared at a nursing home impersonating Elvis Presley. At the age of six, she appeared as one of the Avonlea school children in a production of Anne of Green Gables. MacIsaac also competed in several music festivals on Prince Edward Island and won Best Performer in 1995. Other credits include: the play Blue Castle based on L. M. Montgomerys classic tale and the role of Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol. One summer, the Department of Tourism chose MacIsaac to appear in their tourism commercials.
The role of Ilse is Jessica Pellerin's first television role. She brings to her work a natural acting ability filled with energy, sweetness and humour. Other young stars of Emily include: Kris Lemche as Perry Miller; Shawn Roberts as Teddy Kent; Emily Cara Cook as Rhoda Stuart.
