Sheila McCarthy plays Aunt Laura on Emily of New Moon
which is filmed entirely on Prince Edward Island. She is an
award winning actress with credits that include several Genie and
Gemini Awards for Best Actress, a Peoples Choice Award at the
Cannes International Film Festival and the Charlie Chaplin
Award in Vey, Switzerland. She also has an impressive list of
credits and theatre awards. Most recently Sheila received the
1998 Gemini Award for her role in Emily of New Moon.

Stephen McHattie plays Cousin Jimmy on Emily of New Moon.
A native of Nova Scotia, McHattie has an impressive list of film and
television credits in both Canada and the United States. He has
appeared in 30 films, including Beverly Hills Cop III, and has also had
starring roles in television productions of Beauty and the Beast and
Scene of the Crime. McHattie has made several guest appearances on
television series, such as Seinfeld and Northern Exposure. He received
the 1995 Gemini Award for Best Actor in the Television Movie,
Life With Billy.

Susan Clark plays Aunt Elizabeth on Emily of New Moon.
She attended the Dramatic school of Arts in London England and went
on to star in many feature films including The Apple Dumpling Gang,
Airport’75 and Porky’s. She won an Emmy Award for Best Actress for
the television movie Babe and earned a Gemini nomination for her work
in the critically acclaimed film Butterbox Babies. She also co-produced
and starred in the long-running television series Webster.
