At left is a large crock used to ship chemicals for druggists. This crock
contained bulk alcohol, and came from Henry K. Wampole and Company,
in Perth, Ontario. At right is an early fire extinguisher from Champion's
drugstore. Its fire retardant foam was produced by a reaction between
baking soda and acid, initiated by the breaking of a glass stopper
which separated the elements.
