Community Action Plan to Prevent Gender-Based Violence

This week, the Town of Kensington took a significant step forward in the fight against gender-based violence. Jane Ledwell, Executive Director of the PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women, joined Mayor Rowan Caseley with the signing of a landmark declaration to prevent gender-based violence in our community.

This event marked the culmination of the PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women’s “Motivated Municipalities” project, which involved extensive consultation with our residents. We are proud to announce that Kensington is now the first municipality in PEI to publicly commit to taking action against gender-based violence, supported by our newly adopted Community Action Plan .

Together, let’s create a safer and more supportive environment for everyone.
