Credit Union Centre
The present Credit Union Centre was renamed in 2018 from it’s previous name of the Community Gardens Complex. The Community Gardens was built after the fire in 1979 destroyed its predecessor. To mark Canada’s centennial in 1973 the Kensington Regional Committee opened a new community park, called Centennial Park, adjacent to the old recreation center. Since that time an outdoor swimming pool has been added. There are also playing fields adjacent to the Credit Union Centre and the schools.
Some of the activities that happen within the Credit Union Centre:
- Kensington Fitplex, full gym with fitness classes
- Figure Skating
- Minor Hockey
- Ice Rentals
- Family Skates
- Harvest Festival
