The Kensington 2014’s Pay it Forward committee is asking for some more good deeds: donate your outgrown children’s coats to families in need.
The drop off is at the Kensington Train Station Gazebo on October 26th, the morning of the Halloween Hustle. The Pay it Forward committee thought the Halloween Hustle was a perfect opportunity to get people out to drop off their used winter clothing, as it is a family friendly event, and a fundraiser for the IWK.
The Hustle is in its sixth year in Kensington, and for the first time will take place in Tignish. Coats for Kids donations will also take place in Tignish, at the Bicentennial Park. Both events take place at 8:00am until 11:00am.
The coats will be taken to the Coats for Kids in Summerside, where they will set a time and place to give the coats to families who need them. The date and time for this event has yet to be determined, but keep checking the Town of Kensington’s website, or Facebook and Twitter for more details.
We are also accepting snow pants, hats, mittens, scarves and boots, for all ages, from teenagers to infants.
Please stop by with your used children’s wear!
