About the Instructor
Classes are being offered by Anne-Marie Hartman, BSc Bio., a Certified Moksha Teacher 500hrs, Reiki II Practitioner, and student.
Growing up in rural PEI, Anne-Marie developed a deep connection to all things nature and has since been exploring ways of conserving, healing and protecting this wonderful place we all share. After struggling with years of chronic pain and anxiety, Anne-Marie was led to the path of yoga and meditation. Yoga has since been integral to her healing, a guiding light through challenging times and a way to connect with all things. Practising various forms of yoga and bodywork over the years and finally discovering the freedom of hot yoga, Anne-Marie traveled to Brazil in January of 2012 to take her Moksha Yoga training.
Anne-Marie’s classes focus on breath awareness, alignment and self-expression. She brings a calm demeanour that slows the mind and body and brings relief from the fast paced nature of modern society. Through her science training and personal journey she has developed an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and body mechanics which she infuses into her classes. She hopes to share with her students the peace, healing and love that yoga has brought her, connecting people back to the source. Striving to live a healthy, simple and sustainable lifestyle, she continues to deepen her personal yoga practice, and is planning to attend a 200Hr Yoga Alliance teacher training in Bali this coming October.
