Express
Express is a collection of our most popular, current adult fiction. It gives patrons a chance to find current bestsellers on the shelf even though they are in high demand and may have lengthy request lists. Express books are available for 7 day loan and only on first come first serve basis (no holds, no renewals)! Limit of 2 per person.
Programs
Family Story Time
Held year round, children aged 2 to 5 are invited to come in to the Library every Friday at 11:00 am to listen to a story. Please join us for stories, songs, movement and fun!
Teen Book Club
Junior and Teen Book clubs are also held during the school year. Please contact the library for more information.
Tumblebooks
Tumblebooks is a collection of online picture books for children. It helps teach children the joy of reading by using animation, music, and narration to bring picture books to life. Children can read along online, or listen as the books are read aloud. It is a great resource for younger children.
The PEI Public Library Service has been pleased to offer this resource to Island children for the last few years. With the growing popularity of Tumblebooks, we’ve added to our Tumblebooks collection.
Downloadable Music
The Prince Edward Island Public Library has joined with Library Ideas to provide the Freegal Music Service which offers access to over 3 million songs including Sony Music’s catalogue of legendary artists. Patrons can download five songs per week from the library website onto their home computer and keep the songs they download. There’s no need for additional software and all you need is a library card to access the catalogue. The service is also accessible through free mobile apps for library cardholders available in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Visit Freegal Music to start downloading.
