Mayor’s Message: Covid-19 Circuit Breaker

As we all navigate through the current circuit breaker restrictions implemented by the Province’s Chief Public Health Office, please remember Dr. Morrison’s advice to be kind to one another and to be patient with one another. If you know of anyone who may be alone or struggling with this circuit breaker, reach out to them and offer assistance where possible. Kensington is a town that thrives because of its small businesses and appreciation for others. Please remain strong and remain vigilant! There are brighter days ahead!

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone as we deal with the current cluster of COVID-19 cases. Thank you to all those age 14 to 29 in the Summerside area who responded to Dr. Morrison’s request to get tested as well as those impacted by close contact or potential exposure who lined up to get tested this past weekend and continue to do so.

On behalf of Council and staff I’d like to offer a huge thank you to all public health professionals whose dedication to the health and safety of Islanders is second to none and a great example for everyone. Thank you for continuing to follow the advice of the CPHO; for washing your hands, wearing your mask, maintaining appropriate distance and for keeping your circles small. With diligence and a sincere caring for one another, we will get through this.

Our town hall facilities are closed to the public until advised by the Chief Public Health Office it is safe to open. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Mayor Rowan Caseley
