Notice of Nomination Proceedings
PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT
Notice
Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Town of Kensington that a Municipal Election will be held on November 7, 2022, to elect the mayor and six (6) councillors for the Town of Kensington for the term of office terminating on the 6th day of the month that follows the next general election.
The nomination period for the Mayor and Councillor positions commence Oct 12, 2022 and closes at 2:00 pm on Oct 21, 2022.
Nominations shall only be received during office hours at the election office, located at Kensington Town Hall – 55 Victoria Street E, Kensington PE.
The election office hours shall be Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
The deadline for correcting elector information shall be no later than 11:59 am on Tuesday, Oct 25, 2022.

A candidate must file their completed nomination paper at the election office with the Municipal Electoral Officer or Deputy MEO.
