Share your love of Kensington Video Contest
(May 1, 2013-May 1, 2014)

We want to find out what people love about Kensington, what makes Kensington such a great place to live. Tell us what you love about Kensington. Is it walking the Confederation Trail? Trips to the dairy bar? Early morning hockey at Community Gardens? The fact you can walk down the street and people will smile at you whether they know you or not?

We want to know. Sing it to us, show us in Lego™, recite your original poem, put a sign on your dog, doesn’t matter… the more creative the better. Just tell us what you love about Kensington, and send us the video. We’ll upload it to YouTube, and then encourage people to watch. The video with the highest number of views will win $500, so be sure to tell all your friends to watch it and share.

Now get out your video cameras and tell us what makes Kensington awesome!

How to submit video:

Videos can be uploaded through the form on our website (see below), or dropped off at Town Hall on a disc.

Include your name and email address and a catchy title. Remember, you want your video to get views, and the name can make or break a video! Videos must be owned by you or videographer.

  • Video submissions must include a title.
  • Please do not submit any photos of children. If an individual (or group of people) is featured in your video or photo, please obtain permission. If you cannot obtain permission, please ensure that the individual(s) is not recognizable.

By uploading or submitting any video, the owner grants the Town of Kensington a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce in whole or in part, in any media but not limited to advertising and promotional materials, website, social media accounts, exhibitions, and commercial products, including but not limited to Town of Kensington publications. The Town of Kensington or its agents will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.

Videos published will be credited to you, the videographer, where possible. The Town of Kensington reserves the right not to publish submitted videos, especially if the entry includes inappropriate content.
