What are the Work and Study Hubs?
- This pilot program will offer locations where individuals can bring their personal devices and connect to a “free for acceptable use” wireless connection.
- The Work and Study Hubs strive to provide a reliable connection for as many as six individuals at a time.
Why are we creating this pilot?
This program recognizes the importance of internet connectivity specifically where COVID-19 has changed the way many Islanders work and learn. This pilot hopes to help in addressing this need.
What does this mean for Islanders?
- Islanders may choose to visit a “Work and Study Hub” to help fulfill online needs.
- This pilot provides a close-to-home Wi-Fi connection.
Are there any COVID restrictions?
Physical distancing is required, and a limited number of patrons are permitted at one time. Please follow COVID-19 guidelines for distancing, hand sanitizing, and mask use as posted.
