Statutory Public Meeting for the Official Plan and Land Use and Development Bylaw Review
A Public Meeting will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the Kensington Fire Hall, 16 Gerald McCarville Drive, Kensington.
The Town has undertaken a review of the Official Plan and Bylaw pursuant to section 15.1 of the Planning Act and intends to adopt a new Official Plan and Land Use and Development Bylaw. This session will serve as an opportunity to gather input from the community with regards to the proposed Official Plan and Bylaw. This meeting will constitute a formal review of the Official Plan and Bylaw for the Town.
The Official Plan and Bylaw outline policies for directing and managing land use and development regulations within the Municipality. Changes to land use policies, application processes and land use designations (zoning) will be discussed. The Future Land Use and Zoning maps will be replaced by new maps to reflect the new policies and those properties recently incorporated into the Municipality.
Residents and interested parties are invited to attend this final public meeting and to make representations regarding the proposed Official Plan and Land Use Bylaw. Copies of the proposed draft documents will be available for viewing below or at the Town Hall on Monday, November 6, 2023. Comments will be collected and discussed at the meeting or may be submitted after the meeting.
